Is goofy a cow or a dog? Multiple fictional and real-life children have asked the same thing: Goofy, do you happen to be a canine? To begin with… well, duh: In 1932, Walt Disney debuted the humorously accident-prone idiot known as “Dippy Dawg,” joining other species-specific characters like Mickey Mouse and Clarabelle Cow. Despite this, he has changed into a persona that no longer exhibits typical canine characteristics. Yahoo Entertainment decided to ask Bill Farmer, the man behind Goofy’s voice since 1987 and a star of the upcoming Disney+ reality series It’s a Dog’s Life, to stop the raging controversy once and for all.
